Additional information

I am a professional musician with over 15yrs experience in leading choirs, facilitating/leading workshops and event organising. My main interest is in Georgian polyphonic song, Swiss lyrical songs and yodelling styles based within Switzerland and Georgia. I have specialised in Georgian song since 2008 , and was a founding member of the Leeds based choir Samzeo. I have traveled to Georgia to perform and to learn. I have studied with Georgian masters in Georgia and with those that have travelled on tour to the UK.  I currently direct Zarebi, a Georgian women’s choir based in Hebden Bridge where we have been singing together since 2015. My interest in Swiss folk songs is linked to my heritage which is half Swiss. I perform together with my sister in our duo Sätteli. I also play in duo Calluna Sun performing original songs on piano and vocals.

I believe in the magic of singing and in the intangible connectivity of music.

Zarebi meet fortnightly on Thursdays 7.15-9pm and once a month for our Sunday Big Sing.
