Additional information

I am the founder and past director of the Brattleboro Women’s Chorus in southern Vermont, USA. Renamed  Brattleboro Harmonia,  and now led by Anna Patton, the group welcomes anyone ages 10 and up who identifies as a woman or non-binary, and whose vocal range comfortably includes the A in the middle of the treble staff. They have an awfully lot of fun singing together, learning songs through the oral tradition and sharing concerts twice a year. I compose, arrange songs, and lead workshops now. I have many years of experience as a classroom music teacher, pianist, musical theatre director, and church organist, and one of my greatest joys is leading group singing with good humor and appreciation for all.

Brattleboro Women’s Chorus
Description

The Brattleboro Women’s Chorus welcomes anyone ages 10 and up who identifies as a woman or non-binary, and whose vocal range comfortably includes the A in the middle of the treble staff. We have an awfully lot of fun singing together, learning songs through the oral tradition and sharing concerts twice a year.

Becky founded the chorus in 1996, and she composes and arranges songs for the group, as does Anna Patton, cooperating director.  Anna will take over as conductor in June 2026.  Our rehearsals are both singing gatherings and preparation for our two concert weekends each year – one the weekend before Thanksgiving and the other Mother’s Day weekend. We have potlucks, occasional singing sectionals, a “Care Committee”, and two parties each year as well.

Session times

Thursday mornings 10 - noon, Thursday evenings 6:30 - 8:30
