Andrea Small

I am a founder member of the Network; I teach groups and individuals in and around Sheffield. I run a weekly women’s singing group, six Singing for the Brain groups, a Breathe Easy group, an intergenerational choir and occasional workshops.

I’m committed to adding to the evidence base for the health and social benefits of singing; to this end I completed an MSc in Dementia Studies in 2014. My dissertation evaluated the effect of a regular singing group on the social wellbeing of people with dementia and their carers. I’m also an Alexander Technique teacher and Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming.
