Anne Gregson is a composer, songwriter and performer living in Bradford-on-Avon, Wiltshire. She writes and arranges songs in harmony for choirs.
She is an active performer in folk clubs and festivals where she sings a mixture of her own songs and traditional folk songs. She also performs as part of a duo with her husband Chris Timson and with the Bath City Jubilee Waits and the a capella trio Eagle Alley. She also leads the group Fiery Dragon Company to perform her compositions.
Anne has researched and produced a published thesis on English Christmas carols and is a founder member of the Bradford on Avon Carollers who sing unusual carols in the pubs of Bradford on Avon. She also leads the band of musicians who accompany them.
She runs the Bradford-on-Avon Carols Choir every autumn to learn the carols in harmony ready to sing in the pubs in December. This meets every Sunday from the end of October to the end of November at 2pm. We meet in the Coach House at The Swan Hotel Church Street, Bradford on Avon, BA15 1LW.
All the sessions are free and all parts will be taught ‘by ear’ so you don’t need to be able to read music. You can find out more about Bradford-on-Avon carols at www.bradfordonavoncarols.info
