Bridget Cousins
I am based in Scarborough, after moving from Suffolk. I love helping people to sing, particularly when they don’t read music or have not experienced the benefits of singing together. I also write for voices, and play the Celtic harp. I am one half of folk duo The Blow-ins.
I run the very popular and often fully-subscribed Acapella Singing for Health (women only) at the Stephen Joseph theatre on Tuesday mornings in term-time from 10.30 am. You can join this course at the beginning of any term by going to the WEA website.
I run occasional Saturday and Wednesday afternoon workshops (once a month) at the Quaker Meeting House in Pickering.
I also organise one-off workshops – usually on a particular theme such as a type of singing (African, Balkan, Gospel etc.) or season/mood; e.g. singing for winter, songs of peace.
