Eleanor Gibson

I have worked for many years with children and young people who have severe learning disabilities, and facilitating singing has been a big part of my work. This includes vocalising vowel sounds, improvisation, call and response, and simple songs and chants. Songs may be accompanied by Makaton signing.

Currently I have a particular interest in sacred singing, drawing people together in community to share simple songs and chants from different faiths.  I lead sacred singing sessions in a special school, and Kirtan [sacred singing in the tradition of Bhakti yoga] in the community.

I have just stepped in to lead Peterborough’s newly established Extinction Rebellion choir.
