Carl Hodson

Carl Hodson has over 7 years experience of leading singing groups and community choirs. He helped to set up The Howling Wolves Community Choir in Wolverhampton in April 2013, becoming the choirs first musical director. He handed over leadership of the choir in July 2019 and in September 2019 took over as MD for ‘Harmonic Voices’, the natural voice choir based in his Leicestershire village of Burbage.

In July 2019 Carl also handed over leadership for his other Wolverhampton-based group which is a singing for lung health choir, Lighthouse Larks, which he had established in September 2015, with support from the British Lung Foundation.

He leads 3 other choirs in Leicestershire: The Shuttlewood Singers at Ulverscroft Activity Centre, Ten2 Singers at Ten2 Art Cafe in Hinckley and in September 2018 he took on the role of MD for Global Harmony in Melton Mowbray, now in its 20th year.

Carl has a warm, supportive and friendly approach towards the people who attend his singing groups. He is convinced of the healing potential of singing, and believes that the power of group singing can be life-changing.
