Kate has sung with the Boat Band for 25 years (English/Cajun/Blues etc). She has recorded 12 albums.

Since 2007 she has run the Loudmouth Women, an open-access a cappella choir, the Mystery Singers, and the Clay Chorus. In 2015 she setup Village Voices Stoke Singing for Lung Health group. She believes that everyone can enjoy singing.
