Kate Fletcher

I have been running choirs and singing groups for over 20 years, and was at Frankie’s inaugural birthday gathering in which the NVN was born. I believe it is everyone’s birthright to sing, and love the energy when the choir ‘gets it’ after a struggle. I am also involved in mental health work, and in the area of psychological trauma, and am very aware of how good group singing is for both mental and physical health

I facilitate a women’s a cappella group ‘Vocaloca’ in Belfast.

I run a regular community choir on Thursday evenings called ‘Change the World in Song’, singing songs of peace and justice in harmony from around the world. We are becoming more diverse, and welcome all levels of experience, and none! We meet from 7 till 9 at Fitzroy Church, University St, Belfast. Check out the website. New members welcome. No charge for first night ‘taster session’

I also run the DSA choir, for young adults with Downs Syndrome, parents, carers and volunteers. We meet on alternate Tuesdays. Contact Kate for further information.
