Laura Marshall

I currently have three community choirs:

  • Riversong, which meets every Tuesday in Bovey Tracey on the edge of Dartmoor;
  • Rowcroft Hospice Choir, which meets in Torquay every Friday from 4.30 -6.30pm;
  • A fledgling men’s choir in Dartmoor Prison.

I teach songs from folk and popular traditions around the world and closer to home, songs connecting nature and the heart, combined with anything easy and fun which we can sing in harmonies and rounds.

I live and work in Devon where we have a rich community of wonderful choir leaders and a wealth of enthusiastic singers. I have always been involved in music and started choir leading in 2016. I have previously worked as a prison teacher, primary school classroom assistant, mother, musician and drama facilitator. I currently have space in my week for a new choir project so please get in touch if you are looking for someone warm, friendly and very musical. I have an interest in singing with specific client groups, and singing for wellbeing and fun. I would also consider working collaboratively.
