Melanie Golding

I trained as a community music practitioner with Doncaster Community Arts in 2001 and worked in community arts for five years before training as a secondary music teacher in 2005/6, and going on to complete a masters in special needs education in 2007/8. After having my first child in 2009 I started helping to run a baby and parent music group incorporating singing for adults as well as children. In 2013 I started an adult community choir made up initially mostly of parents from the baby group, although all are welcome. We sing short songs, rounds and original songs created for the group, and like to sing songs of peace as well as gospel and folk in our very mixed repertoire.

The parent and baby group is called playcircle and happens weekly in Stroud and Nailsworth –
