Nicola is a highly experienced educationalist and animateur. Ongoing projects include conducting a choir called the D’ Vine Singers as part of Christchurch Canterbury University’s Wellbeing and Singing programme. Nicola is also one of the leaders of the Trailblazer Project for the Royal Opera House Thurrock and a leader for Nightingale Opera workshops at Queen Mary’s Hostel in Victoria.
Currently, she is an animateur on the Freedom Game for Surrey Arts, celebrating the 800th Anniversary of the Magna Carta. She trained as a workshop leader at the Britten-Pears School in Aldeburgh under the guidance of Mary King and Stephen Langridge. She is a regular leader for Streetwise Opera. In 2014 she won a Finzi scholarship to research Singing and Parkinson’s and travelled to America to observe the Tremble Clefs in California.
