Sue Crowe Connolly

I love the sound of the human voice, singing, and really love to help others find their own voices.  My whole life’s journey has prepared and brought me to this role as voice teacher, voice teaching mentor, and choral conductor.  Who knew that being an athlete would give me the insight into helping folks prepare their vocal muscles to be able to sing “marathons”?!  Or that communication,  group development and pastoral care training programmes, along with working in social and justice community work for almost twenty years would help understand the complexities and depths of our humanity.  This has become my vocation – to journey with communities to help build bridges of friendship and understanding through music and singing.

I have met so many wonderful, giving people over these many years……I am grateful for all you have taught me…..or will do so in the future!

I have been teaching privately for over 20 years, and have thriving studios in both Hamilton and Toronto.

I learned my craft through a seven-year apprenticeship studying the training realised and developed by the late Cornelius Reid of New York. I also participated in a master class and a short private study with Mr. Reid. I continue to study and work with other musicians and voice professionals, especially vocal master Carol Baggott Forte, to deepen my own skills as a teacher, singer, all round musician and choral conductor.
