I run 2 regular choirs in south London: Sing Out Streatham and Peckham Rye Sings, as well as regular singing workshops at weddings, festivals, and workplaces, most recently with Action Aid, Global Giving, the BBC and Envision. I also run a 6 monthly residential singing weekend at Hazel Hill wood in Wiltshire.
I have recently set up a charity, Voices Welcome, which runs regular singing and music based sessions with refugees and asylum seekers.
Over summer 2016 I ran a series of Singing for Unity events, using singing as a tool to bring people together in the face of the social divisions and increase in hate crime following the EU referendum.
I also work as the youth engagement manager at Making Music, looking for ways to encourage and support more under 35 year olds to join music groups in their local communities.
