Zoie Kennedy

Zoie is a passionate leader and song-sharer who loves to bring together disparate groups and get them singing, especially if they wouldn’t usually, or have been told they shouldn’t or couldn’t sing!

Her aim is connect people back to their own voices, whether through her community choir groups (3 South London singing Mamas groups & Herne Hill Harmony Choir), working with DV survivors to reclaim their voices (Freedom together project, Croydon), bringing together her local community in song (#streathamsingsinunity #onedayonechoir flashmob, Trafalgar Square) or in her pop up festival choirs (Latitude, Shambala Wilderness festival), the aim is FUN and RECONNECTION, focussing on the process over the product (though they end up sounding amazing!!).

Since March 2020 she has been running an online Singing Mamas support and song morning circle (Wednesdays) and HARMONY! an open-to-all, fun and international online choir (Wednesdays 8-9pm). She has also been part of the Singing Mamas Choir SONGLINE project, both as contributor to the Sonlgline songbook and as guest leader, appearing 6 times in 2020.
