This song was stimulated by an inscription which is carved on a stone plaque overlooking Tintagel Haven in North Cornwall. We often pass this spot on our coastal walks. Investigation of the source of those words have not borne fruit.
The inscription makes the first two lines of this song. We like to sing it in our regular singing cave at Bossiney Haven.
