Song: Falling Leaves

This is a simple round in four parts based on the Chinese proverb “Falling leaves return to their roots”. The round comes in on the first “leaves”.
When teaching make sure everyone is feeling and counting the beats, especially on the long notes, and listening to and following the part before.
The timing is a bit tricky. Basically there are four beats in the bar throughout but on “fa-lling” the pattern goes across the beat, but people just pick it up.
It creates a beautiful meditative sound picture of the leaves falling and then the roots all entwined in the earth.
